The famous actor of Georgian screen, Akaki Harava, was born on April 29th, 1895. He remains one of the prominent figures of cinematic art, which has performed dozens of personalities evaluated by audiences inside and outside the country. In 1953, the great actor was engaged in a joint Albanian-Soviet film dedicated to our national hero, Scanderbeg, who was honoured at the International Film Festival in Cannes in 1954. There he performed the leading role. To this day, it remains the only artistic film that pervades our National Hero and the great epic that led him to protect the country’s freedom and independence, but also European civilization from Ottoman invasions.
