On April 16th, 1939, a ceremony was held in Rome, where the delegation of the Assembly headed by Shefqet Vërlaci handed the “Skanderbeg’s crown” to Victor Emmanuel III, who was named “King of Italy and Albania and Emperor of Ethiopia”.
