On January 13th, 1934 died in Korca, Dr. Sotir Bilbili, one of the earliest Albanian doctors. He attended the Faculty of Medicine at the Sorbonne University in France and graduated in gynecology. After the education he went on Bucharest and become one of the most active activists of Albanian colony there. In 1908, he returns to his hometown and opened a private clinic, becoming the first gynecologist in town and probably in the whole country.
