Consequently, in a car accident on 6 September 1970, the lawyer, pedagogue, journalist, and diplomat Dhimitër Berati died in Rome. He graduated from the Faculty of Political and Administrative Sciences in Bucharest and received his second degree at the Faculty of Law. On November 28, 1912, he signed the act of proclamation of Independence in Vlora, directed the first official newspaper “The Birth of Albania”, and administered hospitals under the government of Vlora. Beginning in 1922, he joined the Foreign Service of Albania and performed other high governmental duties.
