In the French capital Paris, on March 30th, 1795 was opened the Language and Oriental Civilizations School. Beginning from 1907, there began to be taught and studied our language which was included in the Department of Languages of Central and Eastern Europe. The study of the Albanian language in this high education institution is continuing until to date. There is not followed only the grammar and vocabulary of the Albanian language but also is studied literature, history, ethnography of Albania. In this school have taught many Albanologists and friends of our country who have written and published many works and studies dedicated to Albania, and have translated books becoming our country known in the francophone world.
