18 April 1392, the leader of Durres, Gjergj Topia handed the defence of the city to the Venetians on condition to build a protective channel

Gjergj Topia, the leader of Durres, hands over the protection of city to the Venetians, on condition that they to build a protective channel. On April 18th, 1392, this issue was discussed at the Venetian Senate and he sent to his consul in Durres the relevant instructions.
