On November 14th, 1908, in Monastery began the Congress of Monastery. Those who gathered and gave to Albania and Albanians, the alphabet that we use today were: Shahin Kolonja, Sotir Peci, Ndre Mjeda, Mithat Frashëri, Gjergj Fishta, Gjergj Qiriazi, Luigj Gurakuqi, Bajo Topulli, G. Çilika, Sami Pojani, Loni Nasi, Simon Shuteriqi, Dhimitër Mole, Hil Mosi, Thoma Avrami, Zenel Sulejmani, Mati Logoreci, Fehmi Xavalani, Nyzet Vrioni, Refik Toptani e Rrok Berisha.
