The anti-fascist fighter Eli Sota, one of the first Albanian journalists, was born in Korca on September 11, 1922. She worked for twenty years in the Foreign Office of the newspaper “Work” and then directed the editorial staff of children and youth at Radio Tirana. From her pen came the monograph, “Albanian Woman in the National Liberation War”.
