The Meritorious painter Ksenofon Dilo, was born in Gjirokastra, on January 15th, 1932. He was graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague in 1958, and began his career as a film painter in the Albanian Soviet film “Storm”. Then he realized the scenography of films “Debatik” of Hysen Hakan, “Detyrë e posaçme ” of Kristaq Dhamo, ” Komisari i dritës ” of Dhimitër Anagnosti, “Ngadhnjim mbi vdekje” of Gezim Erebara and many other films. After 1975, he was elected secretary of the Union of Writers and Artists of Albania for visual arts, has worked as stage designer at the Theater of Opera and Ballet in Tirana and until he retired was the director of the Art Gallery.
