Near the village of Peshtan, on April 11th, 1914, was held a battle between the Greek forces and Albanian gendarmerie. On the battlefield had many killed and wounded people on both sides. The Greek government, even though has acquitted the Albanian lands with international protocol, every day performed aggressive acts, justifying this, as an act of the extremists called “Epirus government”. Meanwhile the Dutch officers, who served in the Albanian gendarmerie, reported that they were regular units of the Greek Army.
