Today the Albanian world commemorates the murder of patriot and freedom fighter Themistokli Gërmenji by French occupiers. He was executed in Thessaloniki on November 9th, 1917 as the result of intrigues by the Greek chauvinists. All his life, he fought with pen and gun to the freedom and the progress of Albania and the Albanian people.
