On August 27, 1787, the Ottoman forces counting over 15,000, commanded by Abdullah Pash Çausholli, entered in Shkodra to finally suppress the pashallek of Bushtallinj. Kara Mahmut Pasha Bushatlliu, retired to the fortress of Rozafa. But the day before, the whole city had stood up and, headed by Tahir Agë Juka, the insurgents came forward to Chaosoll with flags unfurled. Fighting in the ancient city continued until November, the Ottomans suffered defeat and were forced to retreat. Bushatllinjt also survived this storm.
