The Senate of Ragusa, in order to create a favorable climate for alliance with Gjergji II Balsha and other Albanian princes against the risk of Ottoman attacks, with the decision of 26 August 1388, stopped the sale of Albanians by foreigners, the territory of the Republic. By this decision, all Albanians captured by the Ragusians were released.
