The Fundamental Statute of the Albanian Kingdom, adopted by the Constituent Assembly, came into force on December 1st, 1928. This proclaimed Albania as Parliamentary Kingdom. The statute was repealed by the self proclaimed Constitutional Assembly in April 1939 and was restored to force by the National Assembly raised by Nazi occupiers, in the beginning of October 1943.
