On October 19th, 1920, was born the academician Mark Krasniqi in Glavacice village near Peja. He was graduated for literature in the institute of Padua in Italy and for geography and ethnography in the University of Belgrade. He started his career in “Rilindje” newspaper and then in Radio-Pristine in Albanian emissions. For 11 years he has worked with studies in the Science Academy of Belgrade, then he gave lessons in the University of Pristine. He become a member and was elected the vice-head of the Albanian Academy of Science. The authorship of Mark Krasniqi holds many textbooks and university, scientific monographs and literary books of various genres.
