In Jerusalem, on August 19, 1991, a “Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the Republic of Albania and the Government of Israel for the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations” was concluded. Between our two peoples, there were early friendly relationships. Albania is one of the rare countries, where during the Second World War the Israelis were protected from the Nazi-fascist extermination and extermination. Many of them found shelter and warmth in Albania, and no one was killed and arrested during the Nazi-fascist Party.
