On October 18th 1448, in the field of Kosovo, next to Pristina, the Hungarian army laded by Hunyadi, faced the Ottoman armies and suffered heavy defeat. The Albanians were not able to come to the aid of their ally, because of their trespass and betrayal of the Serbian despot, George Brankovic.
