The well-known artist of the Albanian scene, Marika Kallamata, was born on November 17th, 1930 in Fier. When she was 20 she began the artistic activity, at the scene of the National Theatre, where she made about 60 prominent roles, with the parts of our and foreign writers. Some roles as: Ortensia, Aspasia, Mara, Fallxhesha, Nikaj have remind in the memory of the many people. She retired in 1985, but she did not depart from the scene. In 2004, she and the actors of her generation, performed “Streha e të harruarëve” drama, where she excelled with her talent. Marika Kallamata, left her footprints in our cinema. She was honored with the title “Meritorious Artist”, for the rich and original work.
