In Prizren, on July 17, 1921, was proclaimed the so-called “Mirdita Republic”, an anti-national political creature of the mirditor traitors, promoted and promoted by Belgrade. At the end of June, they broke out an armed movement to create an autonomous province, where Mirdita and Lezha would be included. In this way, the Mirdita Bajraktars opposed the government of Tirana and its efforts to unite and strengthen the country. “The Republic of Mirdita” was opposed by the patriotic circles and the people of Mirdita itself and after several attempts on weapons and defeats were completely shattered in November 1921.
