On June 17, 1921, in Gjirokastra, the “Leke Bocari” patriotic club was set up, aiming to unite the people in the war for unattended Albania. The initiator for his rise was the Democrat Avni Rustemi. It included other clubs, including Albanian school teachers, journalists, patriotic war guards, craftsmen, clerks, etc.
