On December 13th, 2000, to the Academy of the State Police, was given the name, ” The Police Academy Arben Zylyftari “. The colonel Arben Zylyftari, the former director of the police prefecture of Shkodra, died in duty and was declared “Martyr of the Nation”. Throughout his career, he was known for determination, for maintaining order and public safety and for courage and bravery in the fight against criminal elements. For these merits, the President of the Republic decorated him with the medal “Gjergj Kastriot Skanderbeg”. The baptism of the Police Academy, with his name, is another assessment of his figure.
