In the summer of 1796, Kara Mahmut Pasha Bushatlliu attacked Montenegro’s forces to unite the Albanian lands of Kuci, Piprit and Palabardh, Pashallak, who was virtually independent of Istanbul. He repeated the attack in September of that year, falling himself in the battlefield.
