On 19 June 1886, “Istanbul Society”, was able to obtain permission for the opening of the Albanian School in Korca. Then such schools were opened in Kolonje, Pogradec, Luaras and Selce. The invaders were burdened with many obstacles and tried to shut them down, but they continued their activity, relying on the people.
