Gjerasim Qiriazi
The pedagogue and publicist Qiriazi Gjerasim was born in Manstir, on 18th October, 1861. Together with his sisters, he opened the first Albanian school for girls in Korça, sets up and directed the patriotic society “Vllazëria”. For his patriotic activity was persecuted by the Ottomans.
