The People’s Assembly on 17 August 1946 approved the Education Reform Project, drafted by the General Education Council and the Pedagogical Commission, created for this purpose at the Ministry of Education. The purpose of the reform was to create a new socialist education system, ideologizing it with the ruling ideas of Marxism-Leninism. Based on it, complete secular, state and national return of the Albanian school, equality of the sexes and the right to all education in the mother tongue was realized.
