On March 12th, 1923, in Tirana, was gathered the Mohammedan Congress with the representatives from throughout Albania. The Congress declared the autocephalous of the Albanian mosque, by disconnecting from the Caliphate. This was an important decision for our nation that has entered on the road of the independent development.
