In Tirana, on January 3rd, 1966 was inaugurated the Higher Institute of Arts, the higher education institution at the time on preparation of the executive and creative artists in music, visual arts and theater. It was created as a result of the union of the High School for Actors “Aleksander Moisiu” established in 1959, the Institute of Fine Arts, established in 1960 and Conservatory established in 1962.
