The report that Pjeter Budi sent the first days of January 1621, to Cardinal Gocadimo constitutes an important historical document for the church and the history of our country. Except the economic, social, historical and geographical data, also is analyzed the political and spiritual situation of the Albanian people, that, for more than five decades, had not stopped the fight and uprisings for freedom and independence. In the rapport are ranked the consecutive punitive expeditions of the Ottoman forces, the rejection of the European powers to help the Albanian insurgents and Albanians’ determination to continue the fight.
