In Kosina, Përmet on February 12th, 1932 was born the doctor Mantho Nakuçi. After the graduation at the Faculty of Medicine in 1957, he worked in the districts of Përmet, Tepelena and Durrës. In 1968 he was transferred to Tirana, as a lecturer in the Faculty of Medicine and after four years was named Chief of the Department of Dermatology. His vast pedagogical, scientific and artistic activities led to the publication of dozens of scientific papers, as well getting the title of Professor and The price of the Republic. For his scientific and cultural merits the American institute of Biographies has selected on “Five Hundred Ladders of influence” for 1999, the International Centre of Biographies of Cambridge has honored with the medal “the International Man of the Millennium” and included him in the International Dictionary of Biographies for 1999, meanwhile dermatologists associations of France, Greece and Bulgaria have joined in their midst.
