On 26 and 27 August 1993, in Shkodra and Tirana, were organized commemorative meetings “Nopça and Albania”. In Shkodra, was organized the naming ceremony of a street with the name of the great Albanologist, and was set up the memorial board “Dr. Baron Franc Nopça” in the Shkodra Geological Enterprise. A meeting was organized at the museum in which was given the High title to the Albanologist, “Honorary Citizen of Shkodra.” At the memorial meeting in Tirana, to Dr. Franc Nopce, was given the Order “Naim Frashëri” of the first class, after the death.
