On April 9th, 1961, in Paris died Ahmet Zogu, the former king of Albania. After his escape on April 7th, 1939 and the country’s occupation by fascist ally, he lived in exile in Egypt, England and France. Even after his death, the royal family lived in South Africa. Only in recent years, Leka Zogu, proclaimed king after his father’s death, returned to Albania with the royal family.
