In the beginning of April 1941, the Italian occupiers raised the radio station of Korca. The regular broadcasting began on April 8th, of that year. The fascists intended to use Radio Korca, for the needs of their propaganda, but the staff required and found channels, to make it useful for people and the country. In September 1943, the unit of the anti-fascist resistance of Radio, in cooperation with partisan guerrilla unit of Korca, dismantled the radio station and transported it to Bakull of Voskopoja. It was used during the First Congress of the Anti-Fascist Youth, which was held at Helms of Skrapar. After liberation, the radio station was restored in Korca and up to 1980, continued to spread the emissions that could be heard in all the country.
