On March 27th, 1920 in Gjirokastra was published the first number of the newspaper “Drita”. It was directed by Veli Harshova. This newspaper was published once a week and treated social and political problems. The notebook had a patriotic and democratic attitude. It was expressed against the Italian occupation of Vlora, against the chauvinist neighbors intervention and their plans for the division of Albania, against the feudal and supported the Revolution of June and the government of Noli.
