In Brussels, March 1st, 1897 Faik Konica published the first number of “Albania” magazine. From 1909, it began to publish in London. Besides the political and diplomatic materials, related to our national problem, Konica in its pages also has published the literary, historical, folklore, language, articles, etc … that served to the awakening of the Albanians national consciousness, and for the presentation with Albania and its ancient culture in the international arena. With it have collaborated the prominent Albanian writers of the time as Filip Shiroka, Louis Gurakuqi Çajupi, Fan S. Noli, Hil Mosi, etc.
