The representatives of the Albanian expatriate communities in Canada, America and Switzerland on December 29th, 1919, sent to the Italian Parliament in Rome, a telegraphic protest against the repressive measures of the Italian occupiers in Vlora, on the celebration of Independence anniversary. In protest was noted that the infamous actions committed by Serbs and Greeks in Albania, were repeated by the Italian royal army. The copies of the protest were sent to the Presidency of the Italian Senate, the steering committee of the Catholic parliamentary group, the steering committee of the Socialist parliamentary group, the telegraphic agency “Stefani” and the newspapers “Tribuna”, “Avanti” and “Giornale d’Italia”.
