After the capitulation of fascist Italy, on September 9, 1943, the people of Korça organized a great protest. A massive demonstration was also held in Durrës on that day, where Dalipi Tabaku and Alexander Goga were killed in the clash with the fascists, while many other demonstrators were injured.
