Pope Eugene IV, on September 9, 1434, issued an encyclical directed at all the chains of the ecclesiastical hierarchy, guided by the universal proclamation of the forgiveness of all those who help in the holy war against the Ottoman enemy and fight, as they fight “noble men , princes, dukes and populations of Albanian nationality”, said in the encyclical.
