According to the report of Mark Skura, dated on February 8th, 1650 we learn on the activities of the Albanian school of Kurbini. As known, it was opened in 1632, close to Kruja. In that school besides the reading and writing in Albanian language, were given even the grammar lessons. As textbooks must be used the works of Pjeter Bogdani, Franko Bardhi, Pjeter Budi and other authors who have written in Albanian. This testifies for the inauguration and the initial steps of our language, which is a continuation of the process interrupted by the Ottoman occupation.
