The Greek forces, on May 7th, 1914, attacked Nikolic and Arrez. Over 1,500 troops clashed with Albanians defending their lands. The resistance was fierce and aggressors were forced to retreat, leaving many dead. Fighting was also conducted in the villages of Vakef. During the withdrawal, the Greeks burned Leskovik.
