In June 1795, Karamahmut Pasha Bushatlliu, head of a large army, surrounded and took Prizren. So Dibra joined the Pasha of Shkodra. But in the spring of the year that followed, the dialect beyaders rose up against Karamahmut and expelled his nephew, who had put him in charge of the country.
