The origin of calendars
On October 5th, 1583, began to be used it Gregorian calendar which is also called “The calendar of new style”, in distinction of Julian calendar that is called the old style. In our country the Georgian calendar was used after the declaration of the Independence in 1912,but from Catholic population, it is used since the XVI century.
