Twelve decades ago, our expatriates in Romania, under the direction of Nikolas Naco, renewed and intensified the activity of “Drita” society. At the meeting of 4 January 1887, the new leadership was elected and approved the Statute and seal. “Drita” society by implementing the Renaissance program, worked to spread the script and Albanian language, to strengthen the national consciousness through schools and books in their mother tongue as well as the publication and distribution of Albanian newspapers.
