With the repeated request of the Albanian insurgents, John Kastrioti II, the son and the inheritor of Gjergj Kastritoti Skanderbeg, on July 30, 1481, accompanied by some captains and few of his soldiers, with arms and four galleys, landed south of Durres I know from Albanian criminals as their leader and prince. With his coming, the uprising spread even more. In the first attempt by the Turks, which took place between Vlora and Durres, Gjon Kastrioti II, was broken and was ready to return to Italy. But the criminals did not allow, and co-harvested some victories, against Ottoman invaders.
