On October 28th, 1922, was born the economist and professor Gaqo Shqau in Korca. After the Lice of Korca he followed the high studies for economic in the University of Zagreb and was graduated at the Higher Institute of Commerce in Leningrad, now St. Petersburg. For some years he worked as the director of the brunch in the consumer cooperatives and then he gave lessons in the Faculty of Economics of Tirana University. Many texts, studies and essays bear his name.
