The English colonel Lik, who had visited Albania on March 28th, 1805 wrote in his diary, for the Albanian national costumes. The Albanian costume, he states “from day to day is becoming more modern as in More and in other parts of Greece … from the influence of the Albanian government, in More because of the prosperity of Hydra, a colony of Albanians and because of the attitude of Albanian villagers in some parts of Morea, especially in Argolida and in the neighboring provinces of Attica and Beotisa. Their costume is more convenient than the Turks or Greeks.
