By taking into consideration, that there was no hospital in the Central Albania, on April 26th, 1919, was adopted a common building for this purpose, by the American Red Cross volunteers, who had come to our country. Approximately at the same time, a common residential building was adapted for hospital in Elbasan, also opening a health center there.
