Ahmet Zogu, in exchange for letters with Benito Mussolini, signed on August 26, 1925, the Italian-Albanian military secret agreement. The agreement had seven points and practically placed the fascist Italian protectorate on Albania. It was kept secret because it was too compromising for Zog’s regime.
