Prenk Jakova
The Albanian music world celebrates today, the anniversary of the birth of the composer Prenk Jakova. He was born in Shkodra, on December 26th,1917, grew up with Shkodra song and music, enriched and developed it, cultivate genres of classical music, bringing on stage the first Albanian opera “Mrika”, climbing on our stage opera , the figure of national hero Gjergj Kastriot Skanderbeg. He led the musical activity in Shkodra district, discovered and produced dozens of talents, which fed the artistic life in the whole country, even in Kosovo and other Albanian territories.
