On January 25th, 1710 was born Pal Parrino, one of the first arberesh Albanologists, rector of the Albanian Seminary of Palermo. He studied from antiquity the history, traditions and customs of Albania. Argued that Albanians are clearly distinguished from Greeks and Slavs and those are descendants of the Illyrians. He worked at the preface of “Meshari” of Gjon Buzuku. His work was of about 600 pages remained manuscript. Pal Parrino died at age 55 in 1765.
