25 August 1878, Mehmet Ali Pasha Maxhari holds talks with the Prizren League for Plava and Gucia

On August 25, 1878, Istanbul’s envoy Mehmet Ali Pasha Maxhari held talks with the leaders of the Albanian League of Prizren to persuade them to release Plava and Gucia who, according to the decisions of the Berlin Congress, had to go to Mali Black. The connection not only refused, but asked the Turkish Pasha to leave immediately from Gjakova. After his rejection, he was surrounded by 4500 malevolent Georgians, in the tower where the Turkish Marshall was sheltered. There was bloody and long-standing fighting, where there were many killed, including Mehmet Pasha Madzar himself.
